About Uncovr

Uncovr is building AI-powered infrastructure for the future of surgery.

We work at the intersection of artificial intelligence, surgical video, clinical workflows, and healthcare technology. Our mission is to help surgical teams better understand, document, and improve surgical procedures by turning complex clinical data into structured, useful, and trustworthy insights.

We are a fast-moving startup working on technically ambitious problems with real-world clinical impact. As we expand our platform, we are looking for a Product Owner to help translate clinical, technical, and business needs into clear product requirements and well-prioritized product development.

About the Role

We are looking for a Product Owner to act as the bridge between surgeons, users, engineering, AI, clinical coding, and business teams.

In this role, you will gather feedback from surgeons, coders, clinical users, and customers, translate that feedback into clear product requirements, and help the engineering team understand what needs to be built and why. You will work closely with the engineering lead, who will translate product requirements into technical requirements, while you ensure the product direction reflects real user needs, business priorities, and rollout constraints.

This is a high-context, cross-functional role for someone who can listen carefully, structure ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and help turn complex clinical workflows into clear, actionable product plans.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and manage product requirements across key areas of the Uncovr platform.

  • Act as the bridge between surgeons, clinical users, coders, engineering, AI, and business teams.

  • Gather feedback from surgeons, users, customers, and internal stakeholders.

  • Translate clinical and business needs into clear user stories, product requirements, and acceptance criteria.

  • Work closely with the engineering lead to ensure product requirements can be translated into technical requirements.

  • Join customer, partner, and business calls to capture new needs, pain points, and product opportunities.

  • Help prioritize features based on user value, clinical impact, business needs, and technical feasibility.

  • Support product rollout planning, including release cycles, user feedback loops, and adoption considerations.

  • Maintain a clear understanding of product scope, priorities, dependencies, and trade-offs.

  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and clinical teams to ensure product decisions are grounded in real workflows.

  • Identify gaps, risks, edge cases, and unclear requirements before they become implementation problems.

  • Help ensure the product remains useful, intuitive, and trusted by expert clinical users.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Implementation Lead, or similar product-facing role.

  • Strong ability to translate user feedback and business needs into clear product requirements.

  • Experience working closely with engineering or technical teams.

  • Strong communication skills across technical, clinical, and business stakeholders.

  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems and turn them into actionable plans.

  • Strong prioritization skills and comfort making trade-offs.

  • Ability to write clear user stories, requirements, acceptance criteria, and product documentation.

  • High attention to detail and strong follow-through.

  • Comfort joining customer or stakeholder calls and extracting clear product insights.

  • Ability to understand technical concepts at a high level and communicate effectively with engineering teams.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in healthcare technology, clinical workflows, medical devices, or health data products.

  • Experience working with surgeons, clinicians, clinical coders, or hospital teams.

  • Familiarity with AI-enabled products, data-driven workflows, or clinical software.

  • Experience supporting product rollouts, pilots, implementations, or customer onboarding.

  • Experience working in regulated, high-trust, or safety-critical environments.

  • Familiarity with surgical workflows, clinical documentation, coding workflows, or hospital operations.

  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Linear, Notion, or similar product and delivery systems.

  • Interest in surgery, healthcare innovation, AI, and clinical workflow improvement.

Who You Are

You are structured, curious, and highly user-focused.

You are comfortable working between technical and non-technical teams, asking the right questions, and turning messy feedback into clear product direction. You listen carefully to expert users, understand the importance of clinical context, and care about building products that are useful, reliable, and easy to adopt.

You are pragmatic, organized, and comfortable operating in a startup environment where priorities evolve quickly. You can balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints while keeping the team aligned around what matters most.
